What we're doing to keep you and our staff safe during Covid-19

Our first priority is the health and safety of our staff and patients. We are carefully following health and safety guidelines from the CDC, OSHA, EPA, Utah Department of Health, and the Salt Lake County Health Department. We will continue to monitor and update our procedures with the newest guidance.

Clinic Modifications and Changes Resulting from Covid-19

Like many businesses and healthcare clinics, we have had to make a bunch of changes as a result of the pandemic. Here is a brief description:

1) Masks - Everyone will need to wear a mask or cloth face covering at all times (staff and patients). This is a state law, as well as our clinic's policy, and is for everyone's safety, and there can be no exceptions. If you do not have a mask to bring to your appointment, we will have one for you to use while at the clinic, thanks to a number of volunteers who have helped us out by sewing them for us.

2) Screening - We no longer require a Covid screening form be filled out before appointments. However, we expect everyone to self screen by choosing to call and cancel appointments if any signs of flu/cold, or respiratory illnesses are present.

3) Temperature - We no longer take temperatures as it has been found to be very unlikely to help decrease the spread of Covid.

4) Payment - Please plan to pay with a credit, debit, or HSA card or a check. If you would like to pay with cash, you can do so, but it will be extremely difficult for us to get you change, so please bring the exact amount that you would like to pay for your treatment.

5) Barriers Between Recliners - We have taken out a number of recliners and have hung barriers between the chairs so that everyone meets the recommended distancing requirements.

6) BYOB (Bring Your Own Pillows/Blanket) - We will be changing the sheet after every patient and can no longer use laundry volunteers, which means we are going to be dealing with an incredible amount of laundry. For this reason, we will no longer have blankets available for patients. If you tend to run cold, please bring your own blanket or something else to cover up with. If you like to use pillows or other items, please bring them with you.

7) Less Talk/More Space - The acupuncturist will sit at your feet and speak to you from there. Due to safety concerns, the acupuncturist will limit the amount of talking as well as time spent placing needles near your head.

8) Air FlowWe are going to have air purifiers running and will occasionally prop open doors, all to promote a safe air flow. This means there may be more white noise in the clinic. Please plan ahead and bring your own earphones if you prefer.

9) It's still going to be great
We realize that this is a big list of changes. We are all having to adapt to the new normal, and our first priority is the health and safety of our staff and patients. The good news is that our mission to provide a peaceful healing place for everyone remains the same. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon!
